Portrait Photography: Kasi and Jason's Engagement Session

I'm so excited! I can't believe Kasi and Jason's wedding is less than two weeks away! We met in mid-March for their engagement session and ended up with a beautiful warm day. Boy was it windy though. I don't think Kasi will ever think the same about a windy day. :o) We took photos at Harvey's Garden in Winchester, near Falls Mill (to get away from the wind), and at their friend Kurt's farm. Kurt was super kind to let us borrow his tractor for the shoot, and even his cows wanted in on the action!

Loved this guy!

Boy have I been slacking on updating my blog lately. I met this awesome couple in Nashville back in February for their engagement session. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for photos! Brandon and Amanda got married in Clarksville last weekend, and I can't wait to post some of their wedding pictures!

I was so excited when, a few weeks ago, one of my former high school teachers, Mrs. Becky Smith, called me to schedule a family portrait session. Mrs. Smith found me by way of referral from Mrs. Margaret Hall. Pet and Event Photography: Humane Society "Pictures With Santa" Benefit

This year marked the third annual Pet Portraits With Santa fundraiser for the Franklin County Humane Society's Animal Harbor at Tractor Supply Company in Winchester, Tennessee. We had such a fantastic turnout for the event, and our three Santa's this year (one of whom was my brother) were just awesome!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this wonderful cause! I look forward to seeing you again next year!

Last weekend I met Dean and Andrea and their crew on the square in downtown Winchester for a portrait session. I first took photos of these guys last December and was so excited when they called me again this year. This is the first session I've shot on the square, and it turned out to be every bit as great of a location as I'd hoped. I love the old brick walls and the set in front of the Oldham Theater.

And! I learned during the session that Dean and Andrea are recently engaged! I'll be photographing their wedding this summer, so stay tuned for more shots of these two in the coming year!

I was so excited to see my dear friend Holly and to finally get to meet her little Sam. This guy was a bundle of energy. It was such a blast.

Last Saturday turned out to be pretty rainy and cold and, thus, not the best day for an outdoor festival, but I did have one brave soul stop by my booth for a fall fun photo. This little scarecrow was so cute that I just had to share her picture!

Limited Edition Sessions: A Taste of Autumn

This Saturday, October 17, 2009, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., I will have a booth set up at the A Taste of Autumn event in Downtown Winchester. Bring out your kiddos, grand babies, and four-legged children for a harvest fun photo! For some samples, my little model Mason posed for a couple of pics in front of the fall backdrop - and of course I snapped a few of the critters too! Halloween costumes are certainly welcome and even encouraged! Here they are -- the photos for Thomas and Traci's wedding! You may remember this couple from their engagement photos, taken at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro. There wedding was every bit as fun and wonderful as I expected it would be. They were married at Estill Springs Nazarene Church, and the reception was held at Arnold Lakeside Club. Kelly Long and the gals at Hair Candy did a fantastic job on hair for the bridal party. The flower arrangements were created by Simple Expressions in Decherd.

I've fallen a bit behind on my blogging again. A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to shoot the Unsung Heroes benefit concert for the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN) at the Franklin County Fair. Artists performing this year included Trey Hensley, Steve Wariner, and Randy Owen. It was such and awesome show! Here are some of my favs!

Portraits - Miss Grace Turns One!

I was so excited when my dear friend Jane e-mailed me recently to let me know that Grace was turning one (my how time flies!) and to ask me to take her one-year portraits. The last time I saw Jane and Grace was for a family portrait session last November. I was bummed that Grace's big brother, Clay, wasn't around for the portraits this time!

Jane and I met at Fannie Mae Dees "Dragon Park" in Nashville. We only got in about 30 minutes and just a couple of shots of the second outfit before Gracie fell apart. Turns out the poor little thing was coming down with a bug, so we were lucky to get in what we did!

Baby Portraits: Hunter's Newborn Session

Wedding Photography: Chad and Heather Gifford

Here it is - the last (but certainly not least) of my spring/early summer wedding blitz! I met Heather while working at Arezzo's over the last year - in fact, I seem to recall her "booking" her wedding with me during my job interview there in March of 08! Heather and Chad and their entire wedding party were a ton of fun to work with.

The wedding and reception were held at Arezzo's Italian Restaurant in Winchester. This is the second wedding I've done there this year, and it's such a fantastic venue! The food was cooked by Chef Sandy and was fantastic as always. Heather's friend Mary Anne decorated the GORGEOUS cake. The beautiful flower arrangements were designed by Spencer's Flowers.

Heather, everything was perfect! The wedding was gorgeous; you were gorgeous! Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your wedding!
